Are you interested in training to become an Iyengar Yoga teacher? If you have a reasonable standard of practice and have been attending Iyengar Yoga classes for a minimum of 3 years then you may wish to consider joining a new training course.
Prior to being accepted on the course your standard of practice will be assessed. Joining the course requires a commitment to attend a full weekend day of teacher training on average once a month over a two-year period (dates to be agreed among participants), as well as continuing to attend a regular weekly class. The course involves some written coursework but is essentially practically based, focussing on learning teaching skills and improving personal practice.
The cost is dependent on the number of participants but is likely to be in the region of £500-£600 p.a. payable in quarterly instalments. There will be one full day assessment at the end of the two-year course where successful candidates will obtain an Introductory Iyengar Yoga teaching certificate.
